ABOUT THE STUDIO

Home HOMEABOUT THE STUDIO

The Spring Bay Studio & Gallery is a space where artists get together each week to learn the techniques and philosophy behind painting, drawing, printing and other disciplines.

Thanks to the Spring Bay Boat Club, we have a temporary home to run classes. In the meantime we’re continuing to focus on getting a permanent home.

Classes are held every Monday, from 9.30am to 1.00pm.

Annual Exhibition in January of each year, venue to be advised.

New members welcome.

Sue gives her time and expertise on a voluntary basis and has seen the group grow into a vibrant and energetic group of some 26 artists.

TEACHER

Carolyn Audet is a Tasmanian artist with a Grad Dip in Art, Craft & Design from UTAS. Carolyn is a teacher and business owner, with a wide range of expertise. She takes an active part in Studio classes, with a focus on printmaking and sculpture.

COMMUNITY INITIATIVE AWARD

Back in 2017, the Studio received the East Coast Tourism Award for Community Initiative, together with a $2,000 prize for promotion and marketing developments. We used the prize to build a stronger professional profile for the Studio and Gallery.
